YES Prep will waive uniform policy for students for Fall Semester. YES Prep understands the COVID-19 pandemic has created or increased the economic challenges our families face. We hope that relaxing the uniform requirement will provide some relief for families as they prepare for this school year. Students will follow the "free dress" policy outlined in our Campus Supplement. Within this guidance, students still have the option of wearing YES Prep issued uniform. We will use first semester to gather input from out students and families to make a decision regarding uniforms for the Spring Semester and ensure family voice and values and included in the long-term policy.
Fall Semester Super Dress Policy
On super free dress days, clothing should meet the following criteria:
- T-shirts are acceptable, however all clothing and accessories must be school appropriate: YES Prep prohibits pictures, emblems, or writings on T-shirts that are lewd, offensive, vulgar or obscene or that advertise or depict tobacco products, alcoholic beverages, drugs, or any other substance, show gang affiliation, or depict violence in any way.
- No tank tops, halter tops, tube tops, net or sheer tops, shirts with spaghetti straps, or strapless tops for any student.
- No bare midriffs (half shirts) allowed for any student.
- No open-toed shoes.
- All pants, shorts, and skirts must meet the criteria established in the Monday through Friday uniform for pants/shorts/skirts.
Tejas - YES Prep's uniform vendor
Student uniforms should be purchased through the YES Prep approved vendor website. The vendor web address is communicated during the summer prior to the start of school. Students are responsible for ordering their required uniform through this site and having a complete uniform starting the first day of school through the remainder of the school year.
Deadline and Delivery Information
Orders received between July 1-15, will be available for pick up or delivery to your home the first week of August. Orders placed from July 15-31, will be available the week of August 15 for pick up or delivery to your home. We will not be accepting ANY returns, or exchanges until August 15 (at which time all returns and exchanges must fall within return guidelines).
Students with a financial hardship can reach out to their campus Student Support Counselor for assistance with the purchase of uniforms. Assistance will be determined based on need.
For exchanges, returned merchandise can be brought to campus front office or directly to the vendor. In both cases, the vendor is responsible for supplying uniforms in the exchange.
